October was a very busy month during which students in Grades 10 and 11 had important opportunities to begin their preparation for university applications. All Grade 10 students and more than half of the Grade 11 students took the PSAT on campus in the Auditorium in early October.
We also saw two big college fairs on campus this fall, in addition to the mini-fairs we frequently host during lunchtime. In late September, thirty universities were available in the Auditorium to meet with our students. Then, just after Fall Break, we hosted the CIS International University Fair with over ninety universities from across the globe at our school. This was an important first opportunity for Grade 10 students to be exposed to a college fair. For Grade 11 students, it was a terrific chance to practice their adulting skills in interacting with university representatives - something they will do much more of next year.
